Best Paper Award

For each of the two tracks described in the call for papers, a Best Paper Award will be assigned by the Program Committee of GD 2012. The award will consist of:

• a signed award certificate;
• the announcement in the official website of the conference;
• a prize of 250 USD.

This year the Best Paper Awards go to:

Track 1 - Combinatorial and algorithmic aspects

"Planar Lombardi Drawings for Subcubic Graphs" authored by David Eppstein

Track 2 - Visualization systems and interfaces

"Visualizing Streaming Text Data with Dynamic Graphs and Maps" authored by Emden Gansner, Yifan Hu, and Stephen North
